He goes out of his way to be wherever the Hero's plans are, not to compete honestly but to foil them outright, a door barred here, a deal quietly soured there. He hides it well in front of others, but alone with the Hero the mask slips, and he genuinely hopes for a chance to hurt them, financially, socially, or otherwise, and won't lose much sleep if it happens.

Nothing has ever actually happened between them worth this much grudge. Bronn has never noticed that, or never let himself.
