Talek moves like he's got nowhere else to be, because he doesn't. He wears the same faded cardigan no matter the season, sandals even when the road outside turns to mud, and a drink of his own invention perpetually in one hand, some milky concoction he mixed up behind this very bar years ago and never really stopped making for himself.

He tended the Bar back before Grog's family took the Lodge in hand, and when the ownership changed nobody quite got around to telling him he wasn't on the clock anymore. He never left. He'll tell you, unprompted and at length, about how the old rug behind the counter used to really pull the whole room together, before somebody swapped it out for something plainer. He calls everybody "man," including the ones who very much aren't.

Ask him a direct question and he'll answer three unrelated ones first. He's unbothered by nearly everything, debts, threats, the occasional axe that whispers from the wall behind him, and somehow that calm has a way of rubbing off on whoever sits with him long enough to let it.
