Faustina, Deity of Luck

Faustina is the Deity of Luck and the last phoenix alive. Her body is warm to the touch, and her flames are capable of turning up in flames when she chooses to do so. As the Deity of Luck, Faustina is the patroness of those that take risks. Many adventurers out there wouldn’t had been able to keep living without her blessing. However, her luck spell doesn’t work for everyone. It is said that if you find one of her feathers and it burns down in your hands, you’ll be cursed forever.

Phoenixes populated different areas of the world in ancient times, although they were rarely seen by the civilization. They were described as giant birds with orange/yellowish feathers. Faustina lived with her family at the top of a mountain. She was the last of three eggs to hatch, and was a bit tinier than her siblings. However, her size wasn’t an obstacle for her. She was the first of her siblings in learning to fly once her feathers were all out. This family of phoenixes had a peaceful life in the mountains. However, one day, the family didn’t come back to the nest and they sky suddenly darkened. Faustina stayed at the nest for months, with no idea of where her siblings or parents were. When she decided to look for them, a storm hit the mountain. The water was so strong that parts of the mountain started tumbling down. Faustina had to make a choice: she could either take a risk and fly away from the mountain, or wait for her family to show up even if it meant to put her life in danger. Without hesitation, Faustina decided to spread her wings. She flew away from the mountain, and her new-found courage was strong enough for her feathers to produce fire and cover her in flames. As she soared through the sky, the storm ceased and the world saw the sun once again. Since that day, Faustina spends her days flying, trying to find her family. Although she hasn’t had any luck yet, her perseverance reaches those that take risks and helps them continue walking the right path.

Appearance

Allegedly, Faustina is the last phoenix. Hence, she is a giant bird with orange/yellowish feathers that can produce fire and cover her in flames. Her appearance resembles an eagle.
