Fermented Slugs
The Fermented Slug is a grotesque, bloated mollusk that thrives in dark, damp environments like ancient cellars and abandoned breweries. Its translucent, jelly-like body is tinged with an unsettling amber hue, as it feeds exclusively on yeast and decaying organic matter, producing a constant, noxious fume of alcohol-laden gases. This creature moves sluggishly but leaves behind a thick, sticky trail of mildly acidic slime that smells faintly of fermentation and rot. When threatened, the Fermented Slug can emit a cloud of intoxicating vapors, disorienting its predators or attackers, and giving it time to slowly ooze away. It’s said that some reckless alchemists harvest the slug’s secretions to create potent, albeit dangerous, brews.
