Matriarch Beetle

Larger and darker-shelled than any Cask Beetle nearby, the Matriarch is rarely found alone. She commands the brood by scent and vibration, and unlike her smaller kin she doesn't scare off easily, especially not when there's still brood left to protect.

She doesn't fight harder because she's cornered. She fights harder because her own are watching.
