Barefoot
Mother Earth–the glorious being that had given them fruits without praise to be told.
Dwarves admire those whose actions have always spoken louder than words–those who dwindle at the sight of praise, yet pushes at the sounds of silence. They want to be guided by the silent goddess, which is why they prefer not to have anything hamper their connection. For their feet are touched by Mother Earth, they know exactly where to go.
Halflings are the same. However, it isn't because they wanted to be 'touched by Mother Earth', but rather they want to show off their furry 'boots'. For them, it's more of a statement than anything.
