Fenwick Quillbarrow

Fenwick Quillbarrow is a Gnome who arrived in Vulture's Vineyard with a cart, a stack of cages, and no clear memory of which direction he'd originally meant to be traveling. He never left, and neither did the cart. Small, quick-handed, and perpetually smelling of hay and feathers, he talks to his stock constantly and about as often to whoever's standing nearby, rarely pausing to check which one is listening.

He deals in animals the way other merchants deal in blades or bolts of cloth, cages stacked three high on the cart bed, baskets tucked into every gap, and a running commentary on each occupant's personality whether asked for or not ("that one bites, but only if you deserve it"). What he's got on hand changes by the day, some of it familiar Heritage stock, some of it hauled up from country most of Vulture's Vineyard has never seen, and he seems genuinely delighted every time something new proves saleable.

He is entirely unbothered by the question of where any given animal came from, and grows visibly uncomfortable if a Hero presses him on it. Best not to.

Fenwick's stock changes with the day. Roll 5 times on the table below, duplicates allowed, "he's got two Dogs this week" is entirely normal, to see what's currently caged on his cart. A Hero may buy any Pet currently in Fenwick's stock; once sold, that cage sits empty until his stock resets at Darkfall.
