Pan Woodsheart

Pan Woodsheart introduces himself before anyone asks, and usually before they've finished walking through the door. A Gnome Bard with more confidence than a room can comfortably hold, he's spent years trailing after adventurers with a notebook and an instrument, certain that somewhere out there is a story big enough to make his name. He isn't wrong to think heroes are worth writing down. He's just a little too eager about it.

What he wants more than coin, more than comfort, is a tale worth singing. Ask him about anywhere, he'll want to know how it sounded. Ask him about anyone, he'll want to know what they did. He's especially taken with stories of places that shouldn't exist, doors that open onto somewhere else, travelers who came back changed, or didn't come back looking like themselves at all. He'll tell you Sirius rises different over Vulture's Vineyard than it does anywhere else he's been, though he can never quite say why he believes that, only that he does, and that something out past the ordinary is listening when it rises.

He's collected enough half-finished rumors about this place to fill a second notebook. He hasn't found the ending yet. He's fairly sure a hero is going to be the one who gives it to him.
