Rex 'Silent Storm' Tyrannus
Is the self-proclaimed leader of the Elite Destroyers, a title he insists on with such confidence that even adults feel slightly intimidated when he talks. Standing at an imposing 4 feet 2 inches, he cuts an impressive figure with his hand-me-down leather armor, two sizes too big, patched together with mismatched cloth and tied off with rope to make it “battle-ready.” Rex’s most prized possession is his wooden sword, painted silver with flecks of glitter, which he wields as though it were an ancient blade of untold power. A mismatched cape flows dramatically behind him, made from a torn curtain he “liberated” from some poor dungeon hallway.
Despite the moniker “Silent Storm,” Rex is never silent. His speeches are long and theatrical, full of big words he doesn't fully understand, and always delivered with a booming voice. He claims his quiet-sounding title is because "like a storm, you won't know I’m there until I’m already upon you!” Of course, this is rarely the case, as his loud marching, clanging gear, and dramatic battle cries precede him by quite some distance. While his bravado often borders on ridiculous, Rex has a knack for inspiring his companions—whether through sheer charisma or their fear of his overly dramatic tantrums is unclear. Deep down, Rex truly believes he’s destined for greatness, even if that greatness sometimes involves running away when things get dicey.
