Lira's hum never breaks, not for anyone, not ever. It hitches for Homesick, just slightly, a note held a beat too long, like some part of her recognized the same ache in you that she's been humming through her whole life without a name for it.
She doesn't stop working, but she does finally answer the question everyone asks and nobody gets a real answer to.
