Dicey Dangers, The Creepy Creature of Vulture's Vineyard Game by Joel Hills

Wereself Encounter

The presence in the shrine reaches into the split and pulls. Before you can resist, the transformation takes you — not slowly, not partially. All at once.

You are not here anymore. Your Wereself is.

When the transformation ends you are back, on your knees, with no memory of what just happened. The room around you tells the story.

The hero must fight their own Wereself as an encounter.

The Wereself uses the hero's own current combat stats — same Attack, same Defense, same HP total as the hero currently has. The Wereself does not use items or Deity Powers. It only fights.

If the hero defeats their Wereself, they regain control. Remove 1 stack of the Lycanthropy keyword if the hero has more than 1.

If the hero is defeated, they are knocked unconscious and wake at 1 HP. The Lycanthropy keyword gains 1 stack.

Either way, the hero leaves this room immediately after the encounter ends. They may not interact with the shrine again this adventure.
