The Fire Is Still Being Fed
The heat hits you the way a working forge hits you, and you know the difference between a fire someone left burning and a fire someone is still feeding. This one is being fed. There is a rhythm under the roar, a draw and a settle, a draw and a settle, and your hands understand it well before your head catches up.
The half shaped bottle nearest the furnace mouth still carries the last blower's twist in it, stopped partway through a turn nobody ever came back to finish. The pipe is lying where it was set down. You could finish the piece.
Make a Mind(2) check.
Success: You take up the turn where it was abandoned and carry it through. The piece comes off the pipe clean, sound to the shoulder, and honest work regardless of who started it. Dwarven work is dwarven work whoever signs it, and the merchant who buys blown glass in this town knows better than to lowball one of your people. He pays 30 (rc) without the usual haggling.
Failure: The gather sags and goes shapeless before you can set the shoulder, and the turn is lost for good. No cost beyond a ruined bottle's worth of glass, and the furnace does not seem to mind either way.
