Professor Riker 'Sharpquill' Barrow

The self-proclaimed intellectual powerhouse of the Elite Destroyers a title he takes very seriously despite his penchant for shaky confidence and occasional squeaky-voiced panic. With his oversized spectacles (constantly slipping down his nose) and his prized “spellbook” (an old, beaten-up journal filled with illegible scribbles, doodles, and random facts about bugs), Riker is the group’s go-to source of “knowledge.” Unfortunately, his facts are often wildly inaccurate, but his delivery is so earnest and verbose that even seasoned adventurers might second-guess themselves.

Dressed in a makeshift robe cobbled together from mismatched fabrics and a belt lined with ink-stained pouches, Riker exudes an aura of scholarly authority… or at least tries to. He’s always muttering about probabilities, alchemical formulas (most of which involve mixing dirt and water), and grand theories on the ecosystem of dungeon creatures. However, his nervous energy often betrays him. He’s quick to hide behind the bigger members of the group when danger arises, clutching his “spellbook” to his chest like a talisman. Despite his constant jitters, Riker is surprisingly resourceful. He’s the one who comes up with the group’s (often overcomplicated and mostly flawed) plans and designs the bizarre contraptions they try to pass off as traps.

Riker’s biggest strength is his boundless curiosity and love for learning—traits that make him endearing despite his social awkwardness. He’s always asking questions, even at the worst possible times (“Do you think this slime monster is sentient?”), and eagerly collecting “artifacts” (random junk) to study. His knowledge, while spotty and often exaggerated, has saved the Elite Destroyers more than once, whether it’s by identifying a trap (albeit while falling into it) or yelling obscure trivia to distract an enemy. While his nervous nature can be a liability, his loyalty to his friends and the group’s shared dreams of grandeur keep him pushing forward, even if he’s shaking the whole way.
