Pip Osgood
Pip Osgood is small even among the pass's orphan kids, and endlessly, incurably cheerful about it. She's rarely seen without some kind of shine on her, glue on her fingers, flecks of glitter caught in her hair, the leftovers of whatever she was gluing together that morning. Nobody's quite sure where she gets the glitter. It just seems to find her.
She approaches the world with the total confidence of someone who has never once considered that something might hurt her, which worries the adults who know her considerably more than it worries Pip. She'll cheerfully offer to help carry anything, fight anything, or pet anything, monsters from her own bedtime stories very much included. The other children spend a fair amount of energy keeping her out of trouble. She spends none at all worrying about it herself.
