Quest
Set Up
Armondo pulls you aside, wiping his hands on his apron, a rare seriousness in his eyes. A grand party is coming to the Lodge in one week, and he's promised something extraordinary for the occasion: a bottle of Girok's own vintage, from the old winery's lost stock, one he swears he tucked away in the cellar years ago and never got around to bringing back up. "It's down there, Dwa. I know it is. But my knees aren't what they used to be, and that cellar's gotten stranger since the vines took the old winery."
The cellar door sits in the back of the kitchen, past the dish pit, bolted shut and rarely opened. Beyond it lies the Wine Cellar, Level 1 of the dungeon beneath Vulture's Vineyard.
Quest Goal
Find 3 unique Clues in the Wine Cellar (representing tracking down Girok's bottle among the cellar's rows) and return to Armondo before a week passes.
Special Rules
- The cellar door is unlocked permanently once this Quest begins. Once found, note each Clue on your Hero sheet. A Hero needs all 3 before the bottle is considered found.
- Count Darkfalls from the moment Armondo asks for help. If 7 Darkfalls pass before the Hero returns to Armondo with all 3 Clues, the Quest moves to Failure, whether or not the Hero is still looking.
- For the duration of this Quest, Armondo is always available if he comes up on the Local Gathering roll for the Hero's current location, no chance he's stepped away.
Objectives
- Enter the Wine Cellar (Level 1) through the Kitchen cellar door
- Find 3 unique Clues
- Return to Armondo in the Kitchen within 7 Darkfalls
Rewards
Armondo's party is a triumph. He presses 150 (rc) into your hand and sends you off with a bottle of the good stuff for yourself, a Potion of Stabilize disguised in an old wine bottle, his own private stock for emergencies just like yours.
Failure
The party goes on without Girok's bottle. Armondo is disappointed but doesn't blame you, the cellar's earned its stranger reputation for a reason. No reward, and the cellar door bolts shut again behind you.
