Marisol Kane
Marisol Kane has bright red hair and absolutely no interest in being unnoticed, a combination that makes her impossible to miss in a crowd of the pass's orphan kids and easy to hear from well before you see her. She narrates. Everything. Walking to the well is an expedition, finding a good stick is a triumph, and she'll tell you about either one at considerably more length and drama than either deserves, complete with gestures.
She loves her friends fiercely and throws herself into their defense without a second's hesitation, which is either brave or reckless depending entirely on how the day goes. Her stories about her own past exploits grow taller every time she tells them, and everyone in earshot has learned to just let her have it. Beneath all the noise and flair, she genuinely believes, completely and without irony, that she and her friends are destined for something bigger than this pass. She's not wrong to hope so. She's just louder about it than anyone else would be.
