Old Cobb Greyhide
Old Cobb Greyhide is the pass's lamplighter, and by most reckonings its oldest working man. Stooped, rail-thin, and a good deal stronger than he looks, he makes his slow circuit every evening with a ladder over one shoulder and a smell of tallow and wine-dark dye about him. The dye, he says, keeps the moths off the wicks. His hands are a map of old scars and fresh needle-nicks, though nobody in Vulture's Vineyard has ever seen him sew so much as a button. His family has lived in the pass since the vines first took, and he will tell you so, though never much more than that.
He dips his own candles, trims every wick himself, and keeps the lamps burning brightest along the ruin's edge, where he says the dark is oldest. When talk of the creature sightings comes up, and around Cobb it always seems to come up, he is the first with the details and the last to look worried. Not frightened, the way everyone else gets. Just tired, the way a man gets doing a long job alone.

Light the Lamps
Cobb hands you the second ladder before you can object.
Once per day, 
help Old Cobb light the lamps along the ruin's edge. Before you head down, he presses a Clover Potion into your hand from a pocket that seems to have one for every occasion. "Easier to keep your feet," he says, "when somebody's minded the lights above you."
