Boot Prints in the Dust
A trail crosses the room ahead of you, boot prints pressed deep into dust that hasn't been disturbed in years, a style of boot nobody in the Lodge wears anymore. They lead straight to a bricked-over archway at the back wall.
A board is nailed above it, warped and water-stained but still readable: "Seal it. Until it's safe again."
Someone shut this door on purpose. And by the freshest prints layered right up against the bricks, someone still walks past it often enough to leave new tracks in old dust.
