[[File:Time-Icon.png|40px]] The Sleepy Efreeti was a traveling market that roamed the world on a magical wagon. The wagon was an enchanted vehicle that could move through all kinds of terrain, be it a dense forest or a rugged mountain pass. The market was run by a group of enterprising Dwarves, who were known for their shrewd bargaining skills and their ability to sell just about anything.
[[File:Time-Icon.png|40px]] The Sleepy Efreeti is a tall, broad wagon of dark timber and brass, parked at the edge of the market oval whenever its red flag flies from the town flagpole. Deep red awnings unroll from its sides to shade the display racks, and the whole rig has the settled, unhurried look of something that has crossed half the world and been in no hurry doing it. The locals say the wagon has rolled through forests, fords, and mountain passes that break lesser wheels, and the Axeshapers, the family of Dwarves who run it, don't argue.

Despite their reputation as master traders, the Dwarves were known to be a lazy bunch, preferring to lounge around on the wagon and nap in the shade of their colorful red awnings. The market's name was a playful nod to this habit.
The Axeshapers nap. Constantly, unapologetically, in shifts, in the shade of the awnings, and the town long ago decided the market's name was a joke about them. But the observant notice other things: the awnings never fade, the brass fittings are always warm to the touch, snow never settles on the wagon's roof, and at the heart of the wagon sits a deep iron firebox that glows day and night, though no one has ever seen a single Axeshaper feed it.

The Sleepy Efreeti's wares were as diverse as the lands they traveled. One day, they might be selling exotic spices from the far east, and the next day, they might be offering enchanted swords crafted by the finest dwarven blacksmiths. They also had a reputation for peddling rare and unusual items that could only be found in the most remote corners of the world.

The Sleepy Efreeti

Time-Icon.png The Sleepy Efreeti is a tall, broad wagon of dark timber and brass, parked at the edge of the market oval whenever its red flag flies from the town flagpole.

Roll 1d6 on a 6, A wave of warmth rolls off the wagon, like an oven door swung open somewhere inside. All three Dwarves sit up from their naps at the same instant and look at the firebox. Then, without a word, they settle back down. Nobody explains.
