A small coin or marker of recognized value. Unlike ordinary currency, a Token cannot be bought. It is earned, given by someone in recognition of a genuine good deed: an honest apology, a kindness repaid, a favor done without expectation of reward. Merchants who deal in coin have no use for them and won't sell them. Only people do.
Acquisition
A Token is granted only as a reward for an in-fiction act of kindness or honesty, at the GM/NPC's discretion, never purchased. See Cinnamon Turtlebeam's Event for a working example: a sincere apology after being caught mid-mess earns a found Token from her apron.
