For you map draw one set of stairs on your current level. For the other set of stairs draw them on another piece of graph paper. This will represent either the level above or below your current level. Carved in the wall next to the steps are the words "3l173 D357r0y3rz"

The carving looks recent, made with something sharper than the tools any adult in town would recognize, and it sits at a height no grown Hero would naturally reach without stooping. Whoever left it down here found their way past the cellar door and back out again, which is more than most who wander this deep can say.
