Ruvir Axeshaper

Ruvir Axeshaper is the son of Thursen and Gloviel, and the reason The Sleepy Efreeti got its name. A young Dwarf with soot-dark hair and heavy eyelids, Ruvir can and will fall asleep anywhere: mid-sale, mid-sentence, once famously mid-haggle, waking to finish the negotiation exactly where he left it and still come out ahead. His parents despair; his customers adore it. The nap is practically the wagon's mascot.

His corner of the wagon is Tricks and Sparks: wands, orbs, rods, and scrolls humming with fire-school magic, small arms for those who prefer not to be noticed, and a locked drawer of keys, gems, and lucky tokens for Gamblers and Rogues who know to ask. Wizards and Sorcerers get his genuine attention, at least until his eyelids win. Everything he sells he has tested himself, or so he claims, and the scorch marks up his sleeves suggest he isn't lying.

Here is the thing the family doesn't discuss: Ruvir's stock is uncannily good. He never buys a dud wand, never misjudges a scroll, and when asked how he picks his inventory he'll yawn and say the firebox tells him things in his sleep. Everyone laughs. Ruvir doesn't.

Nap in the Shade

Once per day, the Hero may join Ruvir for a nap in the shade of the wagon. Mark 1 and heal 1 Health. It is, the whole market agrees, the best sleep in Vulture's Vineyard.
