Dicey Dangers, The Creepy Creature of Vulture's Vineyard Game by Joel Hills

Well Worn Road

Time-Icon.png The Well Worn Road earned its name honestly. This is the pass road itself, the same one the freight wagons ride through the mountains, and generations of wheels have cut ruts into it deep enough to trip a careless walker. Everything the town has ever had came up this road, and most of what it's lost went down it.

To the south, an open field rings with the sounds of the Farmers Market, canvas snapping in the mountain wind, a tall flagpole flying the merchants' colors, the smells of fresh bread and horse and someone's cookfire all tangled together. To the north, a short lane climbs toward a handful of new-built cottages, their timber still pale and smelling of the saw. After the lean years, somebody believes in this town again, and the sound of hammers has become as familiar as the vultures overhead.

Event

Roll 1d6 on a 5+, A Traveling Caravan is making its way through town, several wagons behind teams of horses, and travelers on foot filling the gaps between them. None of the wagons so much as slow. Make a Reflex(2) to slip across the road between them. If you fail, you wait for the whole caravan to pass, add 1 Time-Icon.png.
