Tansy Glimmerdown
Tansy Glimmerdown runs the counter of The Bottled Star, and if her grandfather is the wagon's craft, Tansy is its warmth. A young Gnome with a crackle of copper hair and a grin that arrives before she does, she talks the way the master lamp burns, constantly and without visible fuel, greeting every customer like a long-lost cousin and every returning customer by name, purchase, and how the purchase has been treating them. When she gets truly excited about a sale, she glows. Faintly, warmly, around the edges. She has never once noticed. Everyone else has.
Her domain is the Lantern Wall, the Bottled Star's famous display of spell-wrought lamps, and Tansy has named every single one. Not model names, names: this one is Petunia, that one is Grumbles, the tall one at the end is Sir Reginald and he does not care for rain. She can tell you each lantern's temperament, its history, and which sort of adventurer it's been waiting for, and when one finally sells she wraps it herself, whispers something to it, and needs a moment before the next customer.
She is the eleventh generation of Glimmerdown lampwrights and, as far as anyone knows, the last. If that weighs on her, she's never shown it, but the regulars notice she never names the master lamp at the wagon's crown, never jokes about it, and glances up at it whenever she thinks no one is looking.
