Dicey Dangers, The Creepy Creature of Vulture's Vineyard Game by Joel Hills

Farmers Market Center

Time-Icon.png South of the Well Worn Road, a broad oval of grass serves as Vulture's Vineyard's marketplace, kept short and neat by a caretaker from the Lodge. A tall flagpole rises at its center, and the flags flying from it change with the roads: every traveling merchant who rolls in runs their colors up the pole, so the town can tell at a glance who's trading today. Some days the pole flies two or three bright banners over a bustle of wagons, awnings, and unhitched teams; some days it stands bare, and the field is just grass and wind.

Nothing here is built to stay. The merchants trade out of wagons and quick-raised canvas, here for a day or a week and then gone down the pass with the rest of the traffic. What's for sale depends entirely on who's made the climb, which is half the fun of walking down to look.

Event

Roll 1d6 on a 6, One of today's merchants is breaking down early, their wagon already half-loaded. Anything you buy from one market of your choice this visit costs 10% less, they'd rather sell it than haul it back down the pass.
