Lira Rimesong hums. Constantly, quietly, wordlessly, a low unbroken thread of melody that never seems to resolve, and frost gathers a little further out across the grass with every phrase of it. She is warmer in manner than her brother by a wide margin, cheerful even, laying out instruments, foci, and folded robes with real care and a real smile for every customer, but the humming never stops for it, not even mid-sentence.

Ask her what the tune is and she'll tilt her head like the question genuinely puzzles her, and admit, easily and without any apparent distress, that she doesn't actually know. She's been humming it as long as she can remember, and neither she nor Faelan can say when that was, or whether either of them was ever anything other than exactly this. It isn't a wound they carry. It's just a fact of the weather, the way winter is a fact.

Hear the Choir

Once per day, the Hero may stand close and listen to Lira's humming all the way through. Mark 1 and gain +1 Mind until Darkfall. Nobody who's tried it can explain why it works. It just does.
