A clue is a significant piece of information, evidence, or an object discovered during the course of an adventure. It serves as a key element that progresses the storyline, providing insight into the mystery or quest at hand. Clues can take many forms—such as a coded message, an ancient relic, a suspiciously placed item, or a revelation overheard in conversation—and are designed to steer the Hero closer to their ultimate goal.

When a Hero uncovers a clue, it often sheds light on the next steps they must take, connecting different parts of the narrative and driving the adventure forward. Clues are not merely discoveries but integral to understanding the larger picture, solving puzzles, or unearthing hidden truths. They provide context and purpose, helping the Hero piece together the unfolding story.
