Heritage

This world is full of natural wonders, and its biomes have been homelands for many creatures through the millennia. Hence, it has been inhabited by different races that have left their footprint on its lands over the years. Now all that remains from the ancient ones are their heritages.

Those that helped build this world in the past have passed away. It is now the duty of all the unique races that now exist to continue writing the book of history, honoring the battles and struggles that their ancestors fought in the past to survive the hostility that reins within this world.

Although Humans appeared recently compared to other heritages, they are remarkable architects and now are owners of a great part of the territory. Moreover, they're responsible for most technological advancements in the modern era thanks to their always-in-development brains.

Humans get along with all other races, but they prefer to stick together. Something similar happens with elves, which prefer to live separated from the world in factions spread throughout the world. If the world has kept its natural beauty over time, it's thanks to Elves symbiotic relationship with nature.

Elves are serene by nature, but Fairies often get the worst of them. Still, the duty of these small, shiny winged creatures is to keep the magic alive in this world, allowing the rest of the world to take advantage of it and continue its normal course. So if you get lost in the forest, it's probably because a fairy has chosen to prank you.

Halflings and dwarves are total opposites. Halflings go through their lives caring about their pleasure, but some are also known to bring joy to the world with their musical talents and rich culture. Humans share their territory with Halflings.

On the other hand, dwarves are steady creatures with remarkable strength. Thanks to them, everyone else has access to the different ore types, as they tend to spend most of their lives as miners. Like Humans, they have built astonishing fortresses and were one of the first races to forge weapons out of ore.

Each heritage has a unique purpose in this world. Therefore, there isn't anything as a "smaller" or "bigger" being, as each has its own story.
