Certain items, such as weapons and armors, are vulnerable to determined conditions. Thus, they can become stronger or weaker based on the material modifier applied on them. You can apply some of these your own, but sometimes, choosing how strong your armament will be during the battle isn't up to you.
Material value bonuses for attack and defense are applicable only if the base item possesses an inherent attack or defense value. The bonus modifies the number of and/or for an item.
