Arcane Seal

This spell draws upon mystical energies to create a powerful magical seal that can secure entrances and containers, rendering them inaccessible to unauthorized individuals. By channeling their magical prowess, the caster can command the Arcane Seal to either lock or unlock with a specific incantation, providing them with control over the protected areas. It grants a sense of mystery and wonder, emphasizing the spell's connection to ancient arcane knowledge and its potential to safeguard valuable treasures or keep secrets hidden away from prying eyes. However, the ancient forces that power the seal are not always cooperative. A weak incantation may invite consequences far worse than an open door.

Charge Use

Hero makes a Body Skill Check. Check the successes against the table below to Lock or Unlock the target. On a failure the seal backfires, adding Threat Dice to the pool.

Body Skill Check Result
0 Fail — Add 2 Threat Dice
1 Fail — Add 1 Threat Dice
2 or 3 Success — Lock or Unlock the target
4+ Success — Lock or Unlock the target, Remove 1 Threat Dice
