Light and Darkness
Light is very important for Heroes to navigate the complexities of a dungeon. Every Hero is always somewhere on the ladder below, from darkest to brightest.
Light Levels
| Tier | General Skill Check / Attack / Defense | Threat Dice (per Time Box checked) | vs. Undead |
|---|---|---|---|
| Darkness | -2 |
+2 |
Undead get +2 to their attacks |
| Shadow | -1 |
+1 |
Undead get +1 to their attacks |
| Dim Light | -1 |
na | Your attacks vs Undead subtract -1 |
| Day Light | +0 | na | Destroys Vampires. Your attacks vs Undead add +1 |
| Bright Light | +2 |
na | Destroys Vampires. Your attacks vs Undead add +3 |
Darkness and Shadow are the two darkest rungs of this ladder and correspond directly to the Darkness and Shadow zones on the Time Clock. Dim Light through Bright Light are reached through carried or cast light -- Torch and Candle both produce Dim Light, Lantern produces Day Light, and only a strong Prismatic Light roll reaches Bright Light.
