Artifact Item
Not all powerful items are tied to a room. Some are tied to something larger: a deity, a force, or a being that exists beyond any single location. These are Artifact Items. They may be found anywhere across multiple adventures, they carry lore that connects to the wider world, and their effects travel with the hero for as long as they are carried.
Like all items, Artifact Items fill 1 Bag Slot on the hero sheet.
Unlike Relic Items, Artifact Items are not numbered and are not tied to a specific room lookup code. They are found through encounters, quests, or circumstances defined in the adventure content where they appear.
See also: Relic Item for items tied to specific locations.

Tria Scripta
The Tria Scripta are three books that together form a complete record of everything that has ever happened. No one planned the trilogy. Two of the books are kept by deities who did not know the other existed until scholars began connecting references across ancient texts. The third has no keeper.
- Alma Mortis -- Kept by Demetra, Deity of Death. It contains the name, date, and cause of every soul she has ever received. It has existed since the first death the world produced.
- Alma Primis -- Kept by The Invisible Ones, Deity of Social. It records every event they have shaped across the history of the world. It is written in an ink that changes color.
- Alma Heroica -- Kept by no one. It records every choice made freely, by heroes, in moments that were not shaped by anyone and did not end in death. It is being written now.
The books of the Tria Scripta cannot be carried. They are not items. They do not fill a Bag Slot and cannot be found in a chest or taken from an enemy. Heroes may encounter their pages, fragments, and reflections during play, but the books themselves are beyond possession.
